Agricultural Lender

Location: Treynor, IA or Council Bluffs, IA

SUMMARY

Originate, underwrite and close secured and unsecured commercial and agricultural loans in accordance with established lending objectives, policies and procedures; establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential clients, by performing the following duties. If employee performs duties and activities that qualify them as a Mortgage Loan Originator, they will be required to meet all requirements to comply with the SAFE Act.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Interview applicants and requests specified information for loan application; requests appraisals, applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to evaluation of loan application; analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan; and corresponds with or interviews applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.
  • Compiles loan package and facilitates negotiation with applicant according to established standards, such as fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms; refers loan to loan committee for approval; ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy; assures timely loan closing and funding activities.
  • Utilize government programs when deemed necessary to meet client's credit needs.
  • Assists clients with inquiries and information requests, and resolves complaints relating to loan products and services offered.
  • Regularly makes out of the bank business calls on existing and potential clients.
  • Responsible for growth of loan portfolio.
  • Actively participates in the bank's credit committee meetings.
  • Participate in the collection procedures and processes of the loan officers to assure the timely collection of all delinquent accounts and develop revised loan repayment terms or schedules as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with loan businesses and other organizations to provide information regarding the lending programs and policies.
  • Participate in the bank's business development activities, represent the bank in industry and professional associations, community organizations, local business groups, etc., and promote the bank's favorable image.
  • Underwriting all classifications of commercial and agricultural loans, including government guaranteed and sponsored loans. The secondary aspect of the job is to underwrite all types of consumer loans. Completion of the input form designating the specific documentation required to provide security interest in the collateral, maintain compliance, and the ancillary documents needed for complex credits. The job requires closing the loans at the bank, client's office or the title company. Responsibility includes servicing and monitoring the loans for quality control, utilizing aggressive collection methods, comprehensive knowledge of title company reports and resolutions to difficult technical exceptions. Another important function is cross selling the bank products with emphasis on the technology that is available.
  • Works closely with the bank's credit analysts in underwriting loan requests into credit packages for appropriate approval.
  • Utilization of the "hands on approach" for developing banking relationships of present and potential clients. Through the interview process ascertain the right product for the borrower and depositor. Maintain knowledge of all the bank products to achieve comprehensive cross selling capabilities.
  • Strive diligently to maintain a quality portfolio with minimal delinquency. Counsel borrowers and recommend remedies to resolve delinquencies. Work through troubles and seriously delinquent loans.
  • Promote and sell cash management, depository products to new and current clients.
  • Makes qualified referrals to all areas of the bank including insurance and wealth management.

Client Contact Specialist

SUMMARY

Provide excellent client service via the phone by assisting with basic account maintenance. Must be motivated and willing to learn all banking systems to proactively offer client support in the most effective, efficient, and consistent manner.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Handle phone inquiries professionally and follows-up appropriately with each caller to exceed the individual's expectations and comply with bank policy.
  • Assist clients with account maintenance including: balance inquiries, transfers between checking and savings accounts, check orders, debit card maintenance, raising/lowering debit card limits, contact information updates, and general inquiries.
  • Introduce clients to products that may be beneficial to them and connect the client with the proper person or department to help them succeed and deepen their relationship with the bank.
  • Troubleshoot issues and answer questions on bank products and services, such as online banking, mobile money, and telebanking.
  • Escalate service issues or situations requiring specialized problem solving skills to a CCS II, CCS III, or the Client Contact Center Manager respectively, as needed.
  • Maintain documents and materials via internal communication repository.
  • Update CRM with call logs and cases related to clients.
  • Handle and log returned mail.
  • Fold and assemble statements, as needed.
  • Complete assigned online training.

Senior Systems Administrator

Location: Treynor, IA


SUMMARY

This position is primarily responsible for providing systems operational support, administration, installation, disaster recovery, and maintenance for key bank infrastructure. Candidate(s) for this position would be a key member(s) of an IT team responsible for Banking Application, Windows, and Linux system administration support for server technology configured in a physical and virtual environment (using VMware).


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and Intranet systems.
  • Design, install and maintain network hardware and software.
  • Analyze and isolate issues.
  • Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
  • Evaluate and modify system's performance.
  • Determine network and system requirements.
  • Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
  • Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
  • Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.
  • Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
  • Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
  • Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems.
  • Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
  • Develops new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability.
  • Establishes guidelines and methods for the installation and management of the host computer operating systems, disk arrays, fiber channel switches, tape libraries and other components.
  • Hands-on technical experience with some or all of the following: Windows Server OS, VMWARE, SAN ( NetApps ), SQL Server, Network Performance Tuning, LAN Knowledge, Network Design and Implementation, MPLS, CISCO, LAN/WAN.

Financial Analyst

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing support to the Wealth Management Group and an affiliate, TS Capital. Assigned tasks may vary in nature; they may pertain to financial analysis of equity securities and underlying companies, analysis of various third party investment funds, and other duties as assigned that assist the Wealth Management Group and TS Capital. Strong critical thinking skills are required. Work is performed within the framework of standard operating policies and procedures; however, independent judgment and discretion is required in performing assigned tasks.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


The Wealth Management Group provides investment management and trust services to clients. TS Capital is an affiliated registered investment advisor offering unconventional investment funds. This role is a direct supporter of both entities.


  • Prepare reporting and analysis for the Investment Management Committee. Sitting as a non-voting member of the Investment Management Committee.
  • Financial analysis of publicly traded companies. Fund analysis of various investment funds.
  • Pertinent reporting may cover a broad range of responsibilities such as financial modeling, forecasting, and risk and performance management.
  • Use of tools such as Bloomberg and Morningstar to complete analysis.
  • Exposure to elements of asset allocation strategies, tax and estate planning strategies, and portfolio management of equities, fixed income, and options portfolios.
  • May occasionally support other functions within the Analytics Department.
