Senior Agricultural Lender


SUMMARY

Originate, underwrite and close secured and unsecured commercial and agricultural loans in accordance with established lending objectives, policies and procedures; establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential clients, by performing the following duties. If employee performs duties and activities that qualify them as a Mortgage Loan Originator, they will be required to meet all requirements to comply with the SAFE Act.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Interview applicants and requests specified information for loan application; requests appraisals, applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to evaluation of loan application; analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan; and corresponds with or interviews applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.


Compiles loan package and facilitates negotiation with applicant according to established standards, such as fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms; refers loan to loan committee for approval; ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy; assures timely loan closing and funding activities.


Utilize government programs when deemed necessary to meet client's credit needs.


Assists clients with inquiries and information requests, and resolves complaints relating to loan products and services offered.


Regularly makes out of the bank business calls on existing and potential clients.


Responsible for growth of loan portfolio.


Actively participates in the bank's credit committee meetings.


Participate in the collection procedures and processes of the loan officers to assure the timely collection of all delinquent accounts and develop revised loan repayment terms or schedules as necessary.


Establish and maintain positive working relationships with loan businesses and other organizations to provide information regarding the lending programs and policies.


Participate in the Bank's business development activities, represent the Bank in industry and professional associations, community organizations, local business groups, etc., and promote the Bank's favorable image.


Underwriting all classifications of commercial and agricultural loans, including government guaranteed and sponsored loans. The secondary aspect of the job is to underwrite all types of consumer loans. Completion of the input form designating the specific documentation required to provide security interest in the collateral, maintain compliance, and the ancillary documents needed for complex credits. The job requires closing the loans at the bank, client's office or the title company. Responsibility includes servicing and monitoring the loans for quality control, utilizing aggressive collection methods, comprehensive knowledge of title company reports and resolutions to difficult technical exceptions. Another important function is cross selling the bank products with emphasis on the technology that is available.


Works closely with the bank's credit analysts in underwriting loan requests into credit packages for appropriate approval.


Utilization of the "hands on approach" for developing banking relationships of present and potential clients. Through the interview process ascertain the right product for the borrower and depositor. Maintain knowledge of all the bank products to achieve comprehensive cross selling capabilities.


Strive diligently to maintain a quality portfolio with minimal delinquency. Counsel borrowers and recommend remedies to resolve delinquencies. Work through troubles and seriously delinquent loans.


Promote and sell cash management, depository products to new and current clients.

Makes qualified referrals to all areas of the bank including insurance and wealth management.


NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Assist subordinates in the development of manuals and supporting documentation to accomplish tasks/duties inherent in this position.

Market President - Council Bluffs, IA


SUMMARY

Responsible for coordinating the banking efforts and activities within a specified geographic market, by working with the organization-wide functional leader(s) of retail banking, wealth management services, and credit risk to ensure a coordinated effort of business development, operations, and client services in the specified geographic market. The Market President will be more focused on the commercial banking, cash management, and the lending functions in the geographic market, while working with the organization-wide functional leader(s) on other functions.


Provide input to the CEO on the overall management direction and control of all market functions. Participate in the development of Bank/Departmental policies and major Bank goals and strategies. Develop and review the long and short-term goals and objectives for growth and profitability in the specified geographic market. Assist in the planning of the organization, staffing, customer relations, marketing and business development activities for the specified geographic market.


Keep abreast of all growth and business opportunities in the market place and recommend to the CEO those opportunities which appear most beneficial to the Bank in terms of potential growth and profitability.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development/Marketing

Participate in the Bank's business development activities to promote the Bank's products and services and ensure the maintenance of the Bank's favorable image by representing the Bank in civic, business, industry and social events and maintaining contact with present and potential banking clients. Regularly make out of the bank business calls on existing and potential clients.


Lead the commercial/business relationship manager team in the Bank's business development activities in a specified geographic market through accountability standards set forth within the Bank's sales managed environment, that is focused on growth of loans, deposits, and cash management services; along with an eye towards referral business to the retail and wealth management teams. Generate and maintain a credit portfolio that can be effectively managed in addition to the managerial/strategic duties of the Market President role.


Work with the leader of wealth management services and also leaders of retail banking (COO/SVP/VP of Retail Banking that oversee the branch managers) in the specified geographic market to ensure a coordinated effort of business development, operations, and client services between the retail and commercial areas of the bank.


Utilize a "hands on approach" for developing banking relationships of present and potential clients. Through the interview process ascertain the right product for the borrower and depositor. Maintain knowledge of all the bank products and services to achieve comprehensive cross selling through qualified referrals to all areas of the bank.

Work with the Director of Community Reinvestment on various Bank financial donations and activities to various organizations with in the specified geographic market. Monitor Bank personnel's involvement in community organizations and non-profit agencies to ensure the Bank is appropriately represented.


Credit Risk Management

Work with the leader of credit risk (CCO) to originate, underwrite and close secured and unsecured commercial; agricultural and consumer loans in accordance with established credit objectives, policies and procedures; establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential clients.


Pre-screen loan client prospects, identifying credit risk/needs and determine alignment with our expertise, performance, and profitability expectations. Assigns qualifying prospects to relationship manager best suited for prospect based upon area of expertise, level of experience and abilities in relation to the prospects needs.


Work closely with the Bank's credit relationship managers, credit analysts, and credit operations in underwriting loan requests into credit packages for appropriate approval; includes training, coaching, mentoring, overseeing, and evaluating team members in regard to credit underwriting, servicing, analysis, collections, loan structure/terms, collateral attachment/perfection, presentations and completion of loan documents.


Utilize government programs when deemed necessary to meet client's credit needs.


Actively participates in the bank's credit committee meetings.


Strive diligently to work with relationship managers to have them maintain a quality portfolio with minimal delinquency. Counsel with relationship managers and borrowers and recommend remedies to resolve delinquencies. Work through troubles and seriously delinquent loans. Participate in the collection procedures and processes of the relationship officers to assure the timely collection of all delinquent accounts and develop revised loan repayment terms or schedules as necessary.

SUMMARY:

Must complete the 90-day onboarding process which includes BAI training;

This position is responsible for providing client service in the Bank's Branches. This position will prepare, input, and modify information via the computer system. Duties also include supervising assigned staff and making decisions. Work is performed within the framework of TS Bank standard operating policies and procedures, however, independent judgment and discretion is required in performing assigned tasks. Deviations from normal procedures and/or questions are referred to a more experienced banker or the Manager.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Sell consumer & commercial bank products and services by highlighting features and benefits; answer questions and handle objections during the sales process; cross sell and make client referrals to other bank departments.


Serve clients by opening, modifying, and closing consumer accounts; perform extensive data entry to add, modify, or close consumer accounts; assist clients in reconciling accounts; print statements for clients; receive and place checks orders; assist CSRs by approving/rejecting checks to be cashed and explain the bank's policies and procedures regarding transactions; identify client by name and answer client inquiries in person and over the telephone; transfer funds per client request; assist clients in establishing or changing PIN numbers; train clients how to use bank products and services; process stop payment and forged account requests; process holds and ACH/Debit card disputes; issue & sign official checks according to policy; process reports (e.g.,. CTR); redeem savings bonds; sell Visa Gift Cards and Travel Money cards; process cash advances; distribute loan packets and assist clients in completing loan applications; obtain information and process wire transfers; process address changes; perform maintenance on SHAZAM debit cards; add auto transfer/sweeps; knowledgeable on internet banking and mobile banking products and maintenance; knowledgeable on Overdraft Reserve product and maintenance to add or remove.


Proficient in consumer account maintenance and openings (includes IRAs, fiduciary accounts, rep payees, etc…) including Checking, Savings, Certificates of Deposit, CD Two product and Safe Deposit Boxes. Follows lean account opening process.


Proficient in all types of commercial account openings. Knowledgeable of cash management products offered by the bank and possesses referral capability.


Serve as a safe deposit clerk by following all established policies and procedures; open, modify, and close safe deposit boxes; assist clients by providing account balances, accepting payments, and accessing safe deposit boxes.


Process CD's and IRA's by opening, modifying, and closing certificates; complete all required paperwork and perform data entry; issue receipts; calculate and process disbursements to include principle, interest payable, penalties, and tax withholdings. Process IRA contributions & withdrawals in Business Process Manager.


Ability to utilize Stanley Retail Deposit System for CD sales process; can negotiate matured CD's


Proficient in BSA requirements including CTR transactions, Monetary Instrument Log and detecting/reporting suspicious/unusual activity.


Proficient in basic consumer lending including CD Secured, unsecured auto, etc… Begin shadowing Personal Banker III for closed end home equity and HELOC loans.


Make decisions about a variety of daily transactions and exercise discretionary authority; lead subordinates in daily job tasks; resolve problems and provide troubleshooting; professionally and diplomatically deal with irate or unhappy clients; assign tasks and ensure completion within predetermined deadlines.


Perform job duties proficiently associated with the CSR position; able to answer questions and assist in decision making


Notarize documents per client request.


Can perform teller overrides in absence of Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager/CSR Supervisor.


Comply with all banking regulations, policies and procedures. Proficient in deposit compliance disclosures.

Participate in the bank's business development activities to promote the bank's products and services and ensure the maintenance of the bank's favorable image by representing the bank in civic, business, industry and social events and maintaining contact with present and potential banking clients. Regularly make out of the bank business calls on existing and potential clients.


Lead the commercial/business relationship manager team in the bank's business development activities in a specified geographic market through accountability standards set forth within the bank's sales managed environment, that is focused on growth of loans, deposits, and cash management services; along with an eye towards referral business to the retail and wealth management teams. Generate and maintain a credit portfolio that can be effectively managed in addition to the managerial/strategic duties of the Market President role.


Work with the leader of wealth management services and also leaders of retail banking (COO/SVP/VP of Retail Banking that oversee the branch managers) in the specified geographic market to ensure a coordinated effort of business development, operations, and client services between the retail and commercial areas of the bank.


Utilize a "hands on approach" for developing banking relationships of present and potential clients. Through the interview process ascertain the right product for the borrower and depositor. Maintain knowledge of all the bank products and services to achieve comprehensive cross selling through qualified referrals to all areas of the bank.

Work with the Director of Community Reinvestment on various bank financial donations and activities to various organizations with in the specified geographic market. Monitor bank personnel's involvement in community organizations and non-profit agencies to ensure the bank is appropriately represented.


Credit Risk Management

Work with the leader of credit risk (CCO) to originate, underwrite and close secured and unsecured commercial; agricultural and consumer loans in accordance with established credit objectives, policies and procedures; establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential clients.


Pre-screen loan client prospects, identifying credit risk/needs and determine alignment with our expertise, performance, and profitability expectations. Assigns qualifying prospects to relationship manager best suited for prospect based upon area of expertise, level of experience and abilities in relation to the prospects needs.


Work closely with the bank's credit relationship managers, credit analysts, and credit operations in underwriting loan requests into credit packages for appropriate approval; includes training, coaching, mentoring, overseeing, and evaluating team members in regard to credit underwriting, servicing, analysis, collections, loan structure/terms, collateral attachment/perfection, presentations and completion of loan documents.


Utilize government programs when deemed necessary to meet client's credit needs.


Actively participates in the bank's credit committee meetings.


Strive diligently to work with relationship managers to have them maintain a quality portfolio with minimal delinquency. Counsel with relationship managers and borrowers and recommend remedies to resolve delinquencies. Work through troubles and seriously delinquent loans. Participate in the collection procedures and processes of the relationship officers to assure the timely collection of all delinquent accounts and develop revised loan repayment terms or schedules as necessary.


If employee performs duties and activities that qualify them as a Mortgage Loan Originator, they will be required to meet all requirements to comply with the SAFE Act.


Other

Maintain educational and professional expertise through attendance at job related seminars, conferences and workshops and involvement in professional civic and community groups in leadership positions.


Assist subordinates in the development of manuals and supporting documentation to accomplish tasks/duties inherent in this position.

Agricultural Lender (Cattle)


SUMMARY

Originate, underwrite and close secured and unsecured commercial and agricultural loans in accordance with established lending objectives, policies and procedures; establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential clients, by performing the following duties. If employee performs duties and activities that qualify them as a Mortgage Loan Originator, they will be required to meet all requirements to comply with the SAFE Act.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Interview applicants and requests specified information for loan application; requests appraisals, applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to evaluation of loan application; analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan; and corresponds with or interviews applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.


Compiles loan package and facilitates negotiation with applicant according to established standards, such as fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms; refers loan to loan committee for approval; ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy; assures timely loan closing and funding activities.


Utilize government programs when deemed necessary to meet client's credit needs.


Assists clients with inquiries and information requests, and resolves complaints relating to loan products and services offered.


Regularly makes out of the bank business calls on existing and potential clients.


Responsible for growth of loan portfolio.


Actively participates in the bank's credit committee meetings.


Participate in the collection procedures and processes of the loan officers to assure the timely collection of all delinquent accounts and develop revised loan repayment terms or schedules as necessary.


Establish and maintain positive working relationships with loan businesses and other organizations to provide information regarding the lending programs and policies.


Participate in the bank's business development activities, represent the bank in industry and professional associations, community organizations, local business groups, etc., and promote the bank's favorable image.


Underwriting all classifications of commercial and agricultural loans, including government guaranteed and sponsored loans. The secondary aspect of the job is to underwrite all types of consumer loans. Completion of the input form designating the specific documentation required to provide security interest in the collateral, maintain compliance, and the ancillary documents needed for complex credits. The job requires closing the loans at the bank, client's office or the title company. Responsibility includes servicing and monitoring the loans for quality control, utilizing aggressive collection methods, comprehensive knowledge of title company reports and resolutions to difficult technical exceptions. Another important function is cross selling the bank products with emphasis on the technology that is available.


Works closely with the bank's credit analysts in underwriting loan requests into credit packages for appropriate approval.
