Agricultural Lender


Location: Treynor, IA or Council Bluffs, IA


SUMMARY

Originate, underwrite and close secured and unsecured commercial and agricultural loans in accordance with established lending objectives, policies and procedures; establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential clients, by performing the following duties. If employee performs duties and activities that qualify them as a Mortgage Loan Originator, they will be required to meet all requirements to comply with the SAFE Act.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Interview applicants and requests specified information for loan application; requests appraisals, applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to evaluation of loan application; analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan; and corresponds with or interviews applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.


Compiles loan package and facilitates negotiation with applicant according to established standards, such as fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms; refers loan to loan committee for approval; ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy; assures timely loan closing and funding activities.


Utilize government programs when deemed necessary to meet client's credit needs.


Assists clients with inquiries and information requests, and resolves complaints relating to loan products and services offered.


Regularly makes out of the bank business calls on existing and potential clients.


Responsible for growth of loan portfolio.


Actively participates in the bank's credit committee meetings.


Participate in the collection procedures and processes of the loan officers to assure the timely collection of all delinquent accounts and develop revised loan repayment terms or schedules as necessary.


Establish and maintain positive working relationships with loan businesses and other organizations to provide information regarding the lending programs and policies.


Participate in the bank's business development activities, represent the bank in industry and professional associations, community organizations, local business groups, etc., and promote the bank's favorable image.


Underwriting all classifications of commercial and agricultural loans, including government guaranteed and sponsored loans. The secondary aspect of the job is to underwrite all types of consumer loans. Completion of the input form designating the specific documentation required to provide security interest in the collateral, maintain compliance, and the ancillary documents needed for complex credits. The job requires closing the loans at the bank, client's office or the title company. Responsibility includes servicing and monitoring the loans for quality control, utilizing aggressive collection methods, comprehensive knowledge of title company reports and resolutions to difficult technical exceptions. Another important function is cross selling the bank products with emphasis on the technology that is available.


Works closely with the bank's credit analysts in underwriting loan requests into credit packages for appropriate approval.


Utilization of the "hands on approach" for developing banking relationships of present and potential clients. Through the interview process ascertain the right product for the borrower and depositor. Maintain knowledge of all the bank products to achieve comprehensive cross selling capabilities.


Strive diligently to maintain a quality portfolio with minimal delinquency. Counsel borrowers and recommend remedies to resolve delinquencies. Work through troubles and seriously delinquent loans.


Promote and sell cash management, depository products to new and current clients.

Makes qualified referrals to all areas of the bank including insurance and wealth management.

Business Process Improvement (BPI) Coordinator

SUMMARY

Oversees and directs the Business Process Improvement (BPI) projects assigned to each area of focus. Helps to develop strategic direction for process improvements and organizational effectiveness across the company. Devises and designs business process requirements for all business, financial, and operational processes associated with organizational functions. This includes researching and analyzing data in support of business functions, process knowledge, and systems requirements. Recommends improvements to as well as new requirements for business processes and operational procedures. Plans, directs, and coordinates the efforts of the Business Process Improvement process.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Oversees and directs Business Process Improvement projects, operations and planning.


Applies proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, assess, document, and redesign processes in the business as a whole.


Responsible for the development and maintenance of a framework to associate defined metrics (for ongoing governance) with the enterprise's strategic goals and tactics.


Administers and applies a structured approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the enterprise and its processes. Charts existing business processes in order to define current business activities for the development of process mapping and models.


Utilization of project management methodology, including but not limited to a definition of scope, time frames, resources, roles/responsibilities of the combined BPI/line management/staff team.

Meeting with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals.


Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.


Development and recommendation of new procedures for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.


Identifying and establishing scope and parameters of process analysis in order to define impact, outcome criteria, and measure-taking actions.


Communicating process change and recommendations, enhancements, and modifications – verbally or through written documentation – to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.


Creating process models, specifications, diagrams, and/or charts.


Coordinating various business groups in the organization to facilitate implementation of new or improved business processes. Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.


As necessary, assisting in conducting research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.

Senior Wealth Strategist


Location: 1745 Madison Avenue

SUMMARY

Responsible for the leadership and direction of TS Bank's Wealth Management sales team and is accountable for helping them achieve both team and individual sales goals. Develops production goals and calling activity targets for the sales team, oversees implementation of this activity plan, and is responsible for the overall sales process, sales results, and staff development of team members. Acts as a senior advisor in the closing of complex sales, development and budgeting of the strategic marketing plan and will represent the sales team to the Market President, Trust Operations, Portfolio Management, and Personal Banking manager.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Sells TS Bank Wealth Management and Trust (WMG) products and services to individuals focusing on trust and investment management products.


Utilizes business and personal contacts, as well as internal partners and systems, to identify prospective clients. Develops a perspective on individual client situations to use as a vehicle for selling products.


Researches prospects' financial picture and possible needs to determine how to best provide service.


Develops rapport with prospects and arranges meetings to continue the sales process. Presents bank product materials to prospective client or designated Center of Influence (e.g. attorney, CPA, etc.).


Responds to questions, consulting bank partners, for additional product/service information when necessary. Conducts additional prospect analysis to further determine services.


Consults with clients and their attorneys on the benefits of estate planning products/services. Analyzes property/assets, and develops alternatives (e.g. creation of living or insurance trusts).


Consults with clients, their attorneys, and other financial advisors to determine the appropriate plan for clients' estate. Utilizes knowledge of inheritance gift, income, and estate taxes to sell services to clients.


Summarizes account assets to determine eligibility, qualifications, and tax classification.


Maintains current in-depth knowledge of a full range of trust-oriented services (e.g. personal trusts, living trusts, wills, investment management, security custody, financial consulting, estate, and tax planning).


Develops and maintains an understanding of all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to fiduciary services and estate and tax planning to ensure the compliance of financial planning activities.


Cross-sells relationship improvement opportunities to existing clients by providing pertinent client update in-formation to partners within appropriate areas of the bank.


Sets personal sales goal with manager based on sales history and product knowledge.


Represents personal financial planning in various business councils and task forces (e.g. personal fiduciary service, investment management, financial consulting).


Participates in related seminars/presentations and product knowledge training for bank partners.

SUMMARY

Works with a team of wealth strategists, trust officers and portfolio managers to market TS Banking Group's trust and investment management products and services to individuals characterized by complex or sensitive financial situations and needs. Will build a pipeline of internal/external prospects that have an advanced or sophisticated need for our wealth management services. Maintains ongoing contact with clients and pro-motes relationship enhancement opportunities through relationship managers. Utilizes an understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulations to ensure the financial planning activities are in compliance. Possesses an excellent understanding of financial and estate planning principles.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Sells TS Bank Wealth Management and Trust (WMT) products and services to individuals focusing on trust and investment management products.


Utilizes business and personal contacts, as well as internal partners and systems, to identify prospective clients. Develops a perspective on individual client situations to use as a vehicle for selling products.


Researches prospects' financial picture and possible needs to determine how to best provide service.


Develops rapport with prospects and arranges meetings to continue the sales process. Presents bank product materials to prospective client or designated Center of Influence (e.g. attorney, CPA, etc.).


Responds to questions, consulting bank partners, for additional product/service information when necessary. Conducts additional prospect analysis to further determine services.


Consults with clients and their attorneys on the benefits of estate planning products/services. Analyzes property/assets, and develops alternatives (e.g. creation of living or insurance trusts).


Consults with clients, their attorneys, and other financial advisors to determine the appropriate plan for clients' estate. Utilizes knowledge of inheritance gift, income, and estate taxes to sell services to clients.


Summarizes account assets to determine eligibility, qualifications, and tax classification.


Maintains current in-depth knowledge of a full range of trust-oriented services (e.g. personal trusts, living trusts, wills, investment management, security custody, financial consulting, estate, and tax planning).


Develops and maintains an understanding of all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to fiduciary services and estate and tax planning to ensure the compliance of financial planning activities.


Cross-sells relationship improvement opportunities to existing clients by providing pertinent client update in-formation to partners within appropriate areas of the bank.


Sets personal sales goal with manager based on sales history and product knowledge.


Represents personal financial planning in various business councils and task forces (e.g. personal fiduciary ser-vice, investment management, financial consulting).


Participates in related seminars/presentations and product knowledge training for bank partners.

QUALIFICATIONS
