Agricultural Lender

Location: Treynor, IA or Council Bluffs, IA

SUMMARY

Originate, underwrite and close secured and unsecured commercial and agricultural loans in accordance with established lending objectives, policies and procedures; establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential clients, by performing the following duties. If employee performs duties and activities that qualify them as a Mortgage Loan Originator, they will be required to meet all requirements to comply with the SAFE Act.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Interview applicants and requests specified information for loan application; requests appraisals, applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to evaluation of loan application; analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan; and corresponds with or interviews applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.
  • Compiles loan package and facilitates negotiation with applicant according to established standards, such as fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms; refers loan to loan committee for approval; ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy; assures timely loan closing and funding activities.
  • Utilize government programs when deemed necessary to meet client's credit needs.
  • Assists clients with inquiries and information requests, and resolves complaints relating to loan products and services offered.
  • Regularly makes out of the bank business calls on existing and potential clients.
  • Responsible for growth of loan portfolio.
  • Actively participates in the bank's credit committee meetings.
  • Participate in the collection procedures and processes of the loan officers to assure the timely collection of all delinquent accounts and develop revised loan repayment terms or schedules as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with loan businesses and other organizations to provide information regarding the lending programs and policies.
  • Participate in the bank's business development activities, represent the bank in industry and professional associations, community organizations, local business groups, etc., and promote the bank's favorable image.
  • Underwriting all classifications of commercial and agricultural loans, including government guaranteed and sponsored loans. The secondary aspect of the job is to underwrite all types of consumer loans. Completion of the input form designating the specific documentation required to provide security interest in the collateral, maintain compliance, and the ancillary documents needed for complex credits. The job requires closing the loans at the bank, client's office or the title company. Responsibility includes servicing and monitoring the loans for quality control, utilizing aggressive collection methods, comprehensive knowledge of title company reports and resolutions to difficult technical exceptions. Another important function is cross selling the bank products with emphasis on the technology that is available.
  • Works closely with the bank's credit analysts in underwriting loan requests into credit packages for appropriate approval.
  • Utilization of the "hands on approach" for developing banking relationships of present and potential clients. Through the interview process ascertain the right product for the borrower and depositor. Maintain knowledge of all the bank products to achieve comprehensive cross selling capabilities.
  • Strive diligently to maintain a quality portfolio with minimal delinquency. Counsel borrowers and recommend remedies to resolve delinquencies. Work through troubles and seriously delinquent loans.
  • Promote and sell cash management, depository products to new and current clients.
  • Makes qualified referrals to all areas of the bank including insurance and wealth management.

Senior Wealth Strategist

SUMMARY

Responsible for the leadership and direction of TS Bank's Wealth Management sales team and is accountable for helping them achieve both team and individual sales goals. Develops production goals and calling activity targets for the sales team, oversees implementation of this activity plan, and is responsible for the overall sales process, sales results, and staff development of team members. Acts as a senior advisor in the closing of complex sales, development and budgeting of the strategic marketing plan and will represent the sales team to the Market President, Trust Operations, Portfolio Management, and Personal Banking manager.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Sells TS Bank Wealth Management and Trust (WMG) products and services to individuals focusing on trust and investment management products.
  • Utilizes business and personal contacts, as well as internal partners and systems, to identify prospective clients. Develops a perspective on individual client situations to use as a vehicle for selling products.
  • Researches prospects' financial picture and possible needs to determine how to best provide service.
  • Develops rapport with prospects and arranges meetings to continue the sales process. Presents bank product materials to prospective client or designated Center of Influence (e.g. attorney, CPA, etc.).

  • Summarizes account assets to determine eligibility, qualifications, and tax classification.
  • Maintains current in-depth knowledge of a full range of trust-oriented services (e.g. personal trusts, living trusts, wills, investment management, security custody, financial consulting, estate, and tax planning).
  • Develops and maintains an understanding of all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to fiduciary services and estate and tax planning to ensure the compliance of financial planning activities.

Ag Credit Analyst

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for analyzing the financial data of new and existing agriculture loans and preparing credit reviews. Work is performed within the framework of standard operating policies and procedures; however, independent judgment and discretion is required in performing assigned tasks. Deviations from normal procedures and/or questions are referred to the designated supervisor.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Analyze new and existing agriculture credit files (e.g., enter data into database and/or spreadsheet computer applications; generate reports; collate data from reports; review balance sheet, income statement, etc. and calculate ratios in preparing credit review; submit written reviews for credit officers' modification; prepare final comments and make decisions regarding assignment of loan rating; sign and archive credit review with loan file).
  • Create and run queries for Credit Administration staff.
  • Update Credit Board Report information. This includes, but is not limited to, new loan reports, reports of concentrations and participations, and updates on progression of watch list loans.
  • Prepare forms, reports, correspondence, memoranda, etc.; answer the telephone. Perform project work, as assigned.

Loan Operations Specialist

Location: Treynor, IA


SUMMARY

Perform loan follow-up (servicing) responsibilities associated with the documentation and posting necessary in servicing the bank's borrowers. Incumbents will be expected to have a good understanding of the functional area so that they may operate competently in this area by performing the following duties. If employee performs duties and activities that qualify them as a Mortgage Loan Originator, they will be required to meet all requirements to comply with the SAFE Act.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepare and print loan documents for HELOC, commercial, agricultural and consumer loans as presented. All documents will be generated through LaserPro.
  • Board all new loans onto Precision along with keyboarding all entries.
  • Complete any necessary maintenance on loans after boarding.
  • Process all charge-off and non-accrual requests.
  • Ensure that all loan trailing documents are properly tickled for notice and report generation.
  • Scan all closed loan documents.
  • Balance the "Recording Fee Account."
  • Prepare and generate Change in Terms/Extensions.
  • Complete lien filings for the following: UCC, Mortgages/Mortgage Releases and Titles/Releases.
  • Send consumer loan payment information to the three credit reporting bureaus on a monthly basis.
  • Process ticklers and generate notices.
  • Filing of any necessary loan documents.
  • Process loan payments.
  • Monitor adjustable rate changes.
  • Monitor rejected loan items and various reports.
  • Post credit card settlement via keyboard entry.
  • Scanning credit card settlements to shared drive.
  • Entering received insurance notices into tickler system daily.
  • Follow up on ticklers with phone calls as appropriate for lapsed insurance, initial insurance, initial titled collateral and final title policy/insurance/opinion.
  • Create procedures for our procedures manual including screenshots; write out detailed instructions for Manuals to be kept at work stations including screenshots.
  • Check scanning before it is filed away daily.
  • Prepare USDA Commitment Report monthly.
  • Mailing out closed loan notes daily.
  • Recording and mailing closed loan's collateral daily.
  • Verifies loan system input.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly statistical reports.
  • Assists loan clients with establishing automatic debits for loan payments.
  • Respond to inquiries from clients concerning loan related issues.

SUMMARY

Must complete the 90-day onboarding process which includes BAI training. This position is responsible for providing client service in the bank's branches. This position will prepare, input, and modify information via the computer system. Duties also include supervising assigned staff and making decisions. Work is performed within the framework of TS Bank standard operating policies and procedures, however, independent judgment and discretion is required in performing assigned tasks. Deviations from normal procedures and/or questions are referred to a more experienced banker or the Manager.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

CTR); redeem savings bonds; sell Visa Gift Cards and Travel Money cards; process cash advances; distribute loan packets and assist clients in completing loan applications; obtain information and process wire transfers; process address changes; perform maintenance on SHAZAM debit cards; add auto transfer/sweeps; knowledgeable on internet banking and mobile banking products and maintenance; knowledgeable on Overdraft Reserve product and maintenance to add or remove.
  • Proficient in consumer account maintenance and openings (includes IRAs, fiduciary accounts, rep payees, etc.) including Checking, Savings, Certificates of Deposit, CD Two product and Safe Deposit Boxes. Follows lean account opening process.
  • Proficient in all types of commercial account openings. Knowledgeable of cash management products offered by the bank and possesses referral capability.
  • Serve as a safe deposit clerk by following all established policies and procedures; open, modify, and close safe deposit boxes; assist clients by providing account balances, accepting payments, and accessing safe deposit boxes.
  • Process CD's and IRA's by opening, modifying, and closing certificates; complete all required paperwork and perform data entry; issue receipts; calculate and process disbursements to include principle, interest payable, penalties, and tax withholdings. Process IRA contributions & withdrawals in Business Process Manager.
  • Ability to utilize Stanley Retail Deposit System for CD sales process; can negotiate matured CD's.
  • Proficient in BSA requirements including CTR transactions, Monetary Instrument Log and detecting/reporting suspicious/unusual activity.
  • Proficient in basic consumer lending including CD Secured, unsecured auto, etc. Begin shadowing Personal Banker III for closed end home equity and HELOC loans.
  • Make decisions about a variety of daily transactions and exercise discretionary authority; lead subordinates in daily job tasks; resolve problems and provide troubleshooting; professionally and diplomatically deal with irate or unhappy clients; assign tasks and ensure completion within predetermined deadlines.
  • Perform job duties proficiently associated with the CSR position; able to answer questions and assist in decision making.
  • Notarize documents per client request.
  • Can perform teller overrides in absence of Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager/CSR Supervisor.
