At TS Bank, we believe in giving back to the communities we are proud to call ourselves a part of. Reinvesting 10% of our pre-tax income is just one way we give back to these communities. Today we want to share information about where our donations have been going toward in Atlantic, Iowa. TS Bank opened a branch in this wonderful town last December – and we are excited to support local organizations such as these!

Anne W. Wickman Child Development Center
TS Bank is proud to have made a recent donation of $5,000 to the Anne W. Wickman Child Development Center, a place that provides high quality, affordable early child development education and care to children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years old. Opening in 2010, the center now has a staff of 32 along with a total of 119 children enrolled, with contracts available for full-time, part-time and drop off (unique to this industry!)

“We provide a very naturalistic environment with a lot of hands-on learning,” said Dianna Williams, Child Care Director.

The center works to develop children to be happy, healthy and socially responsible through a variety of facets, such as group lessons/games, eating healthy food and learning about food through the outside garden, or etiquette, such as the expectation to use eating utensils at an early age or saying please and thank you.

“We are so grateful to TS Bank for this donation,” said Christine Bateman, an Anne Wickman Child Care board member, “This will go towards our general operation needs, all of which will help keep the cost down for families enrolled in our program.”

Cass/Atlantic Development Corporation
TS Bank is proud to have made a recent donation of $2,200 to be a member of the Cass/Atlantic Development Corporation, a public/private partnership serving as the economic development authority for Cass County, Iowa and the county seat, and the City of Atlantic. They work hard to direct economic development initiatives, facilitate community cooperation and assist organizations in their pursuit of local development efforts to enhance the Cass County quality of life. The Nishna Valley Family YMCA
TS Bank is proud to have made a recent donation of $1000 to The Nishna Valley Family YMCA, a 501©3 not-for-profit organization headed by a 12-person volunteer board of directors. Receiving their first charter in 1890, The Nishna Valley Family YMCA’s purpose is to provide programs and services to the Cass County area that address the needs of our constituency and that promote strong kids, strong families and strong communities. On an average they provide over 40 different programs from youth through adults. They also provide membership and program scholarships for youth and families that can’t afford the regular fees. Learning Outreach Center: A part of the The Wallace Foundation for Rural Research and Development
TS Bank was also proud to make a recent donation of $1050 to the Wallace Foundation for Rural Research and Development’s Learning and Outreach Center located near Lewis, Iowa. The Wallace Foundation’s goal is to establish teams and identify research/education needs in southwest Iowa, and from there encourages projects to be conducted at the Armstrong Research Farm, the Neely-Kinyon Research Farm, or on private farms in the Wallace Foundation southwest Iowa area. The Learning and Outreach center is home of the offices for groups such as the ISU Extension Region 17 and the ISU Armstrong Research Farm. For more information visit their website.
