A commemorative $1,000 donation marking 35 years of service

Today, we honor a familiar face in Adams County who recently celebrated a big milestone. Pam Haley, operations specialist at TS Bank is celebrating 35 years of service. In addition to an individual tenure gift, employees who serve more than 30 years with the bank receive $1,000 to donate to a charity of their choice, a donation that is made in their honor. In this case, Pam is splitting the gift between two local charities.
As a long-time resident of the Corning area, Pam selected the Corning Youth Club and the Adams County Sherrif’s K-9 unit as both benefit children and families in the community. The Corning Youth Club helps provide youth sports for kids in junior kindergarten through sixth grade. The funds will be allocated toward updated equipment, field maintenance and team uniforms, while the funds for the Adams County Sheriff's K9 unit will help in their fundraising efforts for a new dog.
Since 1989, Pam has played a variety of pivotal roles at the bank, from loan operations and bookkeeping to cashier duties, proof operations, and retail banking. Today, she serves in the operations department. Reflecting on her journey, Pam shares, "If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life." What she cherishes most about her career in banking is the daily intellectual challenge, the satisfaction of serving clients, collaborating with exceptional coworkers, and embracing the various evolutions in the banking industry.
Pam fondly recalls cherished moments of camaraderie with coworkers, including festive Chamber of Commerce Halloween costume contests. She also treasures her involvement as a Relay for Life committee member, alongside fellow employees, and the annual ceremony that follows. Additionally, Pam has bravely gone 'Over the Edge' twice in support of the Special Olympics, rappelling down a towering 345-foot financial center skyscraper in Des Moines as part of their fundraising efforts.
“This is such a great way to honor long tenured employees and a blessing to be able to give to others,” Pam stated.
In her free time, Pam enjoys long walks outside, reading, taking trips on her motorcycle, spending time with family, as well as creating new apparel she and her daughter take to craft shows in Iowa and Nebraska.
