TS Bank supports local 4-H and youth at 2017 Westfair

Council Bluffs, IA – Westfair has started, with its opening day being on Wednesday, July 26th. Don't miss out on an opportunity with fun for the whole family! As you may already know 4-H activities are at the heart of Westfair, with more than 350 area youth participating in 4-H programs, exhibits and competitions each year.
With a wide range of events including: livestock shows, working exhibits, the Best of Southwest Iowa Shootout, LEGO Bricks 4 Kids Workshops, Chris Clark Bicycle Stunts, and arena events including the tractor pull, figure 8 races, and the demo derby.
“We are excited to offer a free fair, which includes free gate entrance, free parking, free green space entertainment, livestock shows and more,” said Ann Vorthmann, Westfair Board Secretary. “It takes over $60,000 to make this a free fair, and we are so grateful to over 120 sponsors, TS Bank included on their generosity to help meet the goal.”
This year TS Bank proudly sponsored Westfair with $5,350 to assist with various events including the pedal pull, Westfair Queen Contest, and the free watermelon feed, which has been hosted by the bank for over 25 years. In addition, TS Bank started a matching funds program several years ago donating up to $2,100 to various county 4-H fairs for their livestock or fairgrounds building needs, including Westfair. TS Bank believes in giving back to the community and initiated this program as a way to encourage 4-Hers to give as well.
