2024 REV Winner: Terraform Tillage - $15,000

What was the REV experience like?
REV was outstanding. It pushed me to level up as a presenter and gave Terraform Tillage meaningful visibility. The booth time and networking were incredibly valuable with lots of one-on-one conversations with supporters from all kinds of backgrounds. The community’s enthusiasm was energizing and validating.

How did this funding help your business specifically?
We used the funding to accelerate the Tillage Tuner from concept to early commercialization, and we unveiled it on stage at REV and quickly moved into on-farm use across hundreds of acres. It also helped us continue commercializing the SmartProbe system and get it into more hands through targeted outreach and marketing.

What are some new things that are happening in your business now?
We’re testing the next evolution of both the Tillage Tuner and the SmartProbe system this fall. I can’t share all the details yet, but customers are excited about what’s coming. On the momentum side, I made the top 10 in a national pitch competition sponsored by Farm Bureau and Farm Credit and will be pitching again on the 9th competing for $100,000, which would be transformative for our growth.

How has this last year affected your business and how can others help?
The past year opened my eyes to the diversity of farmers who need compaction mapping tools. I’ve shifted focus from offering mapping as a service to selling products so more people can measure and manage compaction themselves. If you want to help:

  • Share SmartProbe with farmers, advisors, and local ag groups.
  • Follow us on Facebook and share posts with folks who’d benefit.
Focusing tillage only where it’s needed improves profitability, soil health, and water quality by reducing erosion and nutrient loss.

Anything else you’d like to share?
A sincere thank-you to the REV team, judges, sponsors, and fellow founders. The funding was great, but the experience, relationships, and community support were even more impactful. I’m grateful for the opportunity—and excited about what’s next.

2024 REV Winner: My Nurse Healthcare - $4,000

What was the REV experience like?
It was a very good experience and loved having so many of our team members in the audience to also experience! We are so thankful for the growth experience. If I could change anything, I’d love to have more time on stage, because I could talk more than 10 minutes about my business and passions!

How did this funding help your business specifically?
We used the funding to create our dementia simulation and traveled around southwest Iowa sharing this new educational platform with businesses, nonprofits, and family members with home visits. REV was essential to the launch of this new program and has helped so many people with the disease from the caregiver standpoint and medical field resources as well. To date, over 250 southwest Iowans have experienced this new simulation training and education.

What are some new things that are happening in your business now?
We have a new location along Bennet in Council Bluffs. We have so much new business and referrals; it has been a very busy year, which a great thing. Additionally, we have a new sister company partnership with IV Hydration.

How has this last year affected your business and how can others help?
Last year our main focus outside care of patients was community education and how to build empathy and communication how others may be suffering from diseases we don’t know about. To support community education and outreach, My Nurse Healthcare launched an additional farmers market in Council Bluffs this year. Held on Saturday mornings at the Anchor Inn, the market is designed with kids and seniors in mind taking advantage of cooler morning hours. This can also help pull other local counties like Page, Adams, Mills and Montgomery County.

We started small, but we’re already planning to expand next year with more vendors and themed weeks. We recently hosted a successful Trunk or Treat event and look forward to offering even more engaging activities in the coming year.

Anything else you’d like to share?
We have partnered with incredible people at last year’s event, including Breeze Bakery, and have had the pleasure of working with Bri at several events. A big thank you to everyone who help bring REV to life - it’s such a great initiative for our community.
