About our Treynor bank

In 1902, TS Bank was opened in Treynor, Iowa, which became a chartered bank in 1923. Harry Holst served as the bank’s first president from 1923-1952, a non-employment position, followed by Joseph Gronstal, a full-time employee since 1923 and served as president from 1952-1972, and then Robert Gronstal who served as president from 1972-1978. In 1978, Mick Guttau was named CEO, President and Chairman of the Board. At that time, Mick, with the help of his family leveraged the family’s century farm and purchased controlling interest in the bank from the Gronstal family, and it remains a family-owned bank today.

Kyle Osborne - AVP of Business and Consumer Banking

Kyle Osborne was hired in 2012 to lead TS Bank’s financial wellness initiative in SW Iowa. For the past 12 plus years he has worked with children, teens and adults to help them become more financially healthy. His passion to help people with their personal and business finances made him a great fit to transition into his current role as AVP of Business and Consumer Banking. Kyle and his wife Michelle moved to Council Bluffs in 2012 and have made Council Bluffs their home along with their six children. Kyle serves as the chair of the Business Advisory Team of teachers at the Green Hills AEA, he serves as a member of IWCC Business, Marketing and Accounting Advisory Team and serves as a member of the finance team at this church. Kyle’s main goal is to make banking simple and to do so through education. He loves solutions that people actually need and want. Kyle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education: Youth Ministry as well as Business Administration: Finance.
